5mm neoprene socks red from Fjord Vibes are made from premium Yamamoto neoprene based on limestone instead of petroleum. This makes them significantly more environmentally friendly than regular neoprene.

5mm neoprene socks red

The socks are made of 5 mm neoprene, and can withstand sharp rocks, smooth rocks or icy surfaces. They are coated with silicone under the walking surface so that you can safely get in and out of the water without slipping. The socks are 5 mm thick, making them our thickest model. At the top of the sock there is a silicone coating towards the calf that is an additional 2 mm thick so that it fits snugly against the ankle/calf and prevents/reduces water ingress.

• Have a snug fit, the socks should sit tight.

• The socks are made from Yamamoto neoprene, which is based on limestone, and NOT petroleum, which is what many wetsuit products are made from. This makes it a much more sustainable product than neoprene made from petroleum products. Yamamoto is also more flexible, has higher insulation and better stretch.
• With a lot of use, they will wear out, and we will then take them back at our expense and deliver them to the Environmental Station.

Reuse - Reduce - Recycle

• Does not need regular washing.
• Rinse in lukewarm water after use, especially when using in salt water.
• Use a cloth or sponge and spot-wash these
• Cold wash, preferably hand wash

• If you wear out your socks, we will accept returns at our expense and deliver them to the environmental station.
